Essence

Time is of the essence
Essence is which I do not have
See I have been thinking about her
For the longest time
How she just came in
Invaded my mind
Stealing everything of mine
Taking over my whole body
Including my senses
I cannot deny that I am nervous
When she comes around
Lost when she is gone
I go to talk
It is her I speak of
I go to lay down to sleep
She is who I dream of
I go to write
It is her name that is written
I go to read
See her name through the pages
I pick up the phone
It is her who I call
When I am alone
I think that she is next to me
As she is here
But not close enough
Io far may to touch
So close to never let her go
Bearing unbelievable feelings
Always on my mind
With something new
With something old
Brings a beginning

Book Teaser

Everyone all over the country was planning their vacations because summer was about to begin. The most popular place for every one was Midnight Lake which seemed like it was in the middle of no where. Where this lake was located they would have no phones and no cell service. This was a privately owned lake with no one around for miles the closest town was ten mile away. Midnight lake was located deep in the mountains of West Virginia. Any one that lived out side of West Virginia never new why it was named that and most of the people in West Virginia didn’t know. Everyone thought that it was named Midnight Lake because the owner’s last name was McKnight. This was one of the most beautiful lakes you would ever see but it had some secrets that most people didn’t know about. The lake had ten cabins to accommodate ten families. The lake was owned by an old couple named Alice and John McKnight that had live there their whole lives. It was handed down from one generation to the next throughout their family. That is what people thought that heard about the lake. No one knew how old they really where they just knew that they had been there a really long time.

It was a week before summer starts and they had to get every thing ready for when the campers started showing up. Alice went through the menu that they had made up for each day of the week that the campers
would be there. She double checked them to make sure she had each meal planed and that each one would be different. After double checking she made a list of what they didn’t already have to go shopping. Alice and John took the first day to check the list of groceries that they would need for the first week. Then the second day they cleaned out the cabins, the freezer and the cellar to make room to stock up. They used the next three days making sure that everything around the lake and cabins were clean. The last day they went into town to get everything on the list and do the stocking. The next morning was the first day of summer and time for the campers to start arriving. With the campers due to start arriving they went around and double checked to make sure they have not over looked anything.

The first day of summer around noon the families started pouring in for their vacation. The first family to arrive was the Spencer family Bobby and Amanda with their two daughters Candy sixteen and Veronica eighteen. This was the first time that they took a vacation like this. They would usually go to the beach or other places like that where there were always crowds of people. This vacation they wanted it to be different they wanted a vacation where they could actually do something other than sightseeing.
